Muskogee County is home to over 10 different fire agencies as well as 1 County EMS Service. Depending on where you live you will be covered by 1 fire agencies. The City of Muskogee maintains the only professional fire department with the rest being volunteer. 

If you live in a incorporated municipality like Muskogee, Taft, Wainwright or Haskell you will be covered by a municipal fire department. For those living in unincorporated land, residents are covered by 4 different regional fire districts with their own title 19 rural fire departments.
