Office of the Mayor : Duties and Responsibilities 

• Presides over the city council

• Certifies the correct enrollment of all ordinances and resolutions passed by the city council

• Acts as head of the city government for all ceremonial purposes and by the Governor for purposes of military law.

• Signs all conveyances and other written obligations of the city as the council may require
